Preventative Maintenance

Preventative Maintenance Pump Components

A pool is more than just pretty water to swim in. There are hundreds of moving parts that are required to work efficiently together to keep it that way. If a single part goes out, the entire system can shut down. Sometimes it is a quick repair, sometimes one part fails and causes further expensive damages. Regardless of the extensity of the failure, it is unexpected emergency repair that may or may not be within the budget at the time. So how does one prepare for these unexpected equipment failures? We, at Royal Aquatic Renovations, LLC, have found a solution to help substantially reduce the likelihood of unexpected failures through our preventative maintenance plan.

With our preventative maintenance plan, we anticipate the failure of common wear and tear items and replace them in advance to help prevent full system shut down. We start by performing a full inspection of the pool equipment to assess the current conditions and make a detailed report including make, model, and size of each piece of equipment, current condition, and, if available, last known maintenance information. With this report, we create a custom maintenance schedule of all common wear and tear parts. Throughout the year, we replace these items before they fail to prevent system shut down and potential further damages.

Filter and chemical automation system maintenance is also included with this service. Without properly working filters and chemical automation systems, the quality of water declines resulting in unsafe water conditions, algae growth, and potential excessive waste of chemicals. On filters, we preform regular filter media cleanings and full changes when needed. On chemical automation systems, we replace chemical feed tubes and connections, probe changes, and regular precise calibrations.

An added bonus to this service, every time we step foot within your pumproom, we reinspect the current condition of all pieces of equipment to keep you updated on any potential current or future repairs. Also, we will already know the exact details of each piece of equipment, allowing us to get your pool back up and running faster if the equipment requires maintenance. Along with equipment detail lists, we prepurchase a stock of your equipment specific items to keep on hand within the pumproom, again helping with faster repairs.
